At Memorial Medical Center we offer cancer clinical trials through the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) as an affiliate of Stanford University. ECOG, established in 1955, is dedicated to the study, prevention and cure of all forms of adult cancer. ECOG is composed of researchers, doctors, and healthcare professionals in doctors’ offices, community hospitals and universities across the country. ECOG is one of several major cancer cooperative groups in the United States and Canada conducting clinical trials.
In order to provide our community with even greater access to clinical trials, Cancer Trials Support Unit (CTSU) research studies are also available. CTSU, like ECOG, is sponsored by the National Cancer Institute.
