Advanced Medical Diagnostic Center (AMDC)
Memorial’s AMDC offers advanced diagnostic testing and treatment services to aid in the care for our cardiac patients.
- Cardiac Catheterization Labs
Using sophisticated technologies, including cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac ablation, our labs provide excellent outcomes for angioplasty, restenosis (recurrence of blockage) and event-free survival. Memorial’s outstanding cardiac physicians and nurses perform nearly 4,000 catheterization procedures a year. Memorial also has an experienced cardiothoracic surgery team standing by to help heart attack victims and other patients who need advanced heart surgery, such as coronary artery bypass and heart valve repair and replacement.
- Angio Lab
An angiogram is an X-ray test that uses a special dye and camera ( fluoroscopy ) to take pictures of the blood flow in an artery (such as the aorta ) or a vein (such as the vena cava). One of the most common angiograms performed is to visualize the blood in the coronary arteries. An angiogram can be used to look at the arteries or veins in the head, arms, legs, chest, back, or belly. excellent outcomes for angioplasty, restenosis (recurrence of blockage) and event-free survival.
- Post Diagnostic Care Unit (PDCU)
The PDCU is an outpatient unit designed to care for pre and post cardiovascular diagnostic procedural patients. These patients may be having extensive tests performed, including internal cardiac defibrillator check, pacemaker or lead check, pacemaker insertion, and stent placement, among others. Memorial’s PDCU is an important piece of our full continuum of care for our cardiac patients.
Hybrid Operating Room
Memorial’s Hybrid OR uses unique technology in the operating suite, to allow doctors across different specialties to work together case-by-case, in the best interest of each patient. It houses the most advanced imaging systems available to provide quick and detailed information for shorter, more accurate treatment with substantially less X-ray exposure when compared to traditional devices.

The Cardiac Independence Program provides comprehensive outpatient care and support to patients with heart disease. The program is designed to help clients achieve maximum physical and physiological well-being through safe and appropriate exercise, education, risk factor modification and social interaction.
Congestive Heart Failure program
The Congestive Heart Failure Program empowers clients who have been diagnosed with heart failure to manage their health and improve the quality of their lives through early symptom recognition, activity guidelines, diet planning and medication management.
